Trump laat in elk geval geen twijfel bestaan over zijn bedoelingen: “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”.
Iran is overigens niet het laatste land op Trump’s lijstje: “Cuba is gonna fall pretty soon, by the way, unrelated, but Cuba is gonna fall too. They want to make a deal so badly. They want to make a deal, and so I’m going to put Marco (Rubio) over there and we’ll see how that works out.”
Opmerkelijk: Trump – die er met enige regelmaat van wordt beschuldigd wat ál te vriendschappelijk om te gaan met Poetin – is bezig systematisch alle bondgenoten van de Russische tsaar uit te schakelen.
