Solidarity with Hambach Forest! Stop Climate change!
We stand in solidarity with Hambach Forest which is at this moment being destroyed by RWE and the German state. Hambach is one of the oldest forests of Europe and is being cut for the expansion of the Hambach open pit mine. This mine produces lignite, one of the most polluting fossil fuels.
This picture is an act of solidarity with the struggle of the Hambach Forest. In the Lutkemeerpolder, we are struggling against the same logic of exploitation as the people in Hambach and the people of Groningen and their struggle against the gas drilling. Large corporations such as RWE and Schiphol see climate as a commodity and don’t care about the world which is being destroyed. But we believe in the fact that ordinary people can stand up against this capitalist machine and fight back!
From 25th until 29th of October, Ende Gelände organizes mass action against the fossil fuel industry in the Rhineland. We will shut down the Hambach mine and fight for the survival of the forest and our planet!

Solidariteit met Hambach Forest! Stop klimaatverandering
Wij staan in solidariteit met het Hambacher bos, dat op dit moment wordt vernietigd door RWE en de Duitse staat. Het Hambacher bos is een van de oudste oerbossen van Europa en wordt gekapt voor de uitbreiding van het Hambachmijn. Deze mijn produceert bruinkool, een van de meest vervuilende fossiele brandstoffen.
De foto is een teken van solidariteit met de strijd voor Hambacher bos. In de Lutkemeerpolder strijden wij tegen dezelfde logica van uitbuiting als de mensen in het Hambacher bos en de inwoners van Groningen en hun strijd tegen de gaswinning. Grote bedrijven, zoals RWE en Schiphol, zien het klimaat als een verhandelbaar goed en de vernietiging van de aarde boeit hun niets. Maar wij geloven in het feit dat mensen kunnen opstaan tegen deze kapitalistische machine en dat ze terug kunnen vechten!
Van 25 tot en met 29 oktober organiseert Ende Gelände massa-acties tegen de fossiele brandstoffenindustrie in het Rijnland. We zullen de Hambachmijn stil leggen en vechten voor het behoud van het bos en onze planeet.
