Ultravox! – destijds nog met uitroepteken – vond in de jaren ’80 fame and fortune met zanger Midge Ure, maar hun beste werk dateert uit de jaren ’70, met John Foxx. De editie van Ultravox met Foxx werd door de muziekpers vrijwel volledig genegeerd, maar zou grote invloed uitoefenen op latere synthpop-bands als de Human League en de Tubeway Army.
“Hiroshima Mon Amour” is gebaseerd op de gelijknamige film van Alain Resnais. Inderdaad: deze jongens kwamen niet van de straat. De memorabele saxofoonsolo is afkomstig van “cc”, de saxofonist van Gloria Mundi.
